Return methods overview
You can choose to offer your customers money back or exchange as a refund.
A smooth returns process plays a major role in determining customer loyalty and future sales. You can offer customers one or multiple return methods:

Refund to original payment method - the customer will expect to be refunded the cost of the items returned.

Exchange - for either different size or color of the same item.

Gift Card - allows the buyer to order something else from your shop, without receiving cash back. In this way, the return is not a lost purchase anymore, but it becomes a new sale. Is issued through a discount code.
While submitting a returns request, customers will be asked to select a return method.
To define which methods will be available for your customers, in the navigation bar, go to Return Portal Settings > Return options > and to the Refund or Exchange Configurations page respectively.
On Refund Configurations select which refund options will be offered, save the changes. 

On Exchange Configurations enable exchanges if you want to allow them as well, save.
